Anterra Widget

Anterra Widget: Value by Consolidation Group

Overview

Anterra’s Value by Consolidation Group widget allows users to create visuals that easily identify each group’s contribution to a consolidated total.

What Does the Widget Show

This widget is a bar chart and allows a user to include one calculation or account that will be broken up into consolidation groups. The farthest left bar shows the total for the consolidation group that is selected for the dashboard parameters. The widget will automatically add a bar to the right for each consolidation group under the selected consolidated member, showing each member’s contribution to the total.

Because consolidation groups are customizable and built completely on how each client wants to view their organization, this widget can display many types of consolidation groups. For example, if you have a consolidation group that is split by location and you wanted to view the consolidated gross profit and how much each location is contributing, the widget could look like something similar to the below screenshot. The widget is also capable of displaying any other consolidation groups, such as by revenue stream, division, or even department.

Example consolidation group by location:

Gross Profit by Division
Example by revenue stream:

Revenue by Revenue Stream

What Are the Key Points of the Widget

·       The widget is driven off of your consolidation group mappings. Want to view your data by another grouping? Simply use the Consolidation Group Mapping tool under the Admin menu to create whatever group you would like. After creating/altering a consolidation group, simply click Update Anterra, wait until the update email is sent to you, then rerun the widget dashboard. Note, you must have administrative permissions to access the Consolidation Group Mapping tool.

·       The widget automatically displays the total for the consolidation group selected, along with any and all immediate children under that group. It will not automatically display children of children – you can display this by changing the consolidation group to a child member.

·       Just like other Anterra widgets, the bars have the built-in drilldown function, allowing you to start at the top level and easily navigate to the transaction level details.

·       This widget can accommodate one calculation or account. You can build multiple versions of the widget to view multiple calculations and/or accounts.
