Creating the Sage Default Financial Statements for Anterra BI Data Integrity Check
To confirm the data synchronized from your Sage CRE system to Anterra BI, Anterra requires financial statements for the beginning balance sheet, the last closed fiscal year end and the last closed GL period. Anterra request you create and run the standard default Sage financial statements for the Trial Balance, Balance sheet and income statement.
Open Sage Financial Statement Designer (FSD). In FSD go to File, Create. This will re-create the standard default statements based on the current chart of accounts. Recreating these statements only overrides the default statements and ensures all new GL accounts are in the designs. Sage will prompt you to override the existing default statements and Net Income accumulator. Please accept. If concerned, back up the default statement designs by opening them and “save as” another name before “Create” function.
Once the new statements are created, the statements are open in the Financial Statement Designer (FSD). Please make the following changes on the Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Trial Balance:
Rows: On row instructions display account suffix details
Header: Change the header to add the Prefix number & Prefix description & period ending (If not there). Noting that the default statement header only shows the Data Folder name. Anterra needs to see the entity (Company and/or division) on top of the statements to properly match them to the companies/division reports from Anterra.
Add Column: The purpose is to provide the beginning conversion trial balance to Anterra. Add a new column on the statements for the field “end Balance X years ago”, for either 1, 2, 3 years ago. This is the beginning balance sheet for Anterra. If current year is 2022 & you are a calendar year end, End Balance 1 year ago is 12/31/2021, 2 year ago is 12/31/2020, and 3 years ago is 12/31/2019.
