Build virtually any graph, bar chart, or pie chart you want with AnterraBI. Create calculations based on your chart of accounts. To build a financial widget, click on the Widget builder icon on the top right of the Anterra Dashboard screen:
The first screen of Widget Builder appears:
Select the Widget format and size you want to build. Select 1x1 for a single square, or 1x2 for double-width (usually used when you want to look at longer time horizons).
Widget types
The formats also have a type:
Value over Time: enables you to look at up to four Attributes (GL accounts or calculations) over a common time horizon for the entity that is select on the dashboard.

In the example below, the selection is a 'Widget with the Value over Time Format' and the style is a line chart.
Calculation Builder
Next, the calculation selection/builder screen appears:
Select existing calculations or build new calculations that you want to appear on the widget. To select an existing calculation simply click the check box on the left side of the calculation you want (highlighted in yellow).
To view the calculation that you selected select the calculator button on the right-hand side of the screen(circled in Red). In this example, the Contract Revenue Calculation displays:
To build a new calculation click the add calculation button at the top left of the screen.
Once you click the calculation builder window will open up:
Build your calculation from your chart of accounts – you can pick any level to include in the calculation. Click on the items you want, you can add numbers or add parenthesis in the top right corner. When finished building your calculation, click SAVE & CLOSE on the bottom right.
You are sent back to the calculation selection window, your new calculation is highlighted green to indicate that it was added to the widget. In this example, we are showing Contract Revenue, Direct Cost, and Gross Profit over the last 12months. Below are the steps to complete this widget and make it available on a dashboard.
Once you select the items that you want to appear on the Widget, click the NEXT button at the top right-hand corner of the screen:
Graph Title
You can now add a title inside the graph, although it’s not required:
Click NEXT and pick the number of months to show on the graph; here the last 12 months are selected, click NEXT again:
Now, add a title for the widget and a description that appears when you hover over the widget in the widget selection pane. You also select the security role for the widget. Users that belong with groups with access to the security role you pick will see the widget for the companies they are data trimmed to:
Finish to Save
You have now completed the widget. The last screen of Widget Builder shows you a preview of the widget on the right and a list of the user groups that will see it. Click Finish and the widget is available to add to dashboards.
