Project Type / Forecast Level Settings

Project Type / Forecast Level Settings

Overview

This article covers the new Project Type / Forecast Level Settings tool recently released in Anterra. To improve our users experience while forecasting, we moved the functionality of changing a job's forecast level from the Job Forecasting Hub to this tool. This allows the Job Forecasting Hub to perform better as well as allows the Anterra Platform to handle many changes to forecast levels more efficiently by e-mailing you when the recalculations that are required when such as change is made have completed.

How to access

Required role

This new component is assigned to a new role: Administration > Construction > Forecast Type Administration. This allows administrators to control which users in their company have access. When the new tool was released all users that could access the Job Forecasting Hub were automatically given access by placing them in a newly created group called Set Project Type & Forecast Level.
If you are an administrator and want to control access to this functionality manually you can assign the Administration > Construction > Forecast Type Administration role to one of your existing groups via the Group / Role Assignment tool (and remove all assignments in the Set Project Type & Forecast Level group) or you can manually add/remove assignments to the Set Project Type & Forecast Level group.
To manage your Project Type and Forecast level settings all in one place, go to Construction -> Administration -> Project Type/Forecast Level Settings

Filtering

Here you are able to filter your Projects by the following parameters:
  1. Consolidation Group
  2. Project Manager
  3. Project Status
  4. Project Type
  5. Project ID
  6. Project Name
  7. Project Update Status
If your account is data trimmed, you will only see the consolidation groups and/or project managers you have been data trimmed to.

Performing updates

Once you have set your filter for your Projects you are then able to update the Project Type or Forecast level of your projects by clicking on the box on the left side of the Project List table to select the Projects.
update the project type
After you have selected the project you would like to update, you can then select the Project Type you would like to change the selected projects to or select the Forecast Level you would like to Forecast the projects at.

Once Project type/Forecast level is selected, you will then click the Update Projects button to update the selected projects.

You will then see your screen update and the update status will change to Pending and the update requested by column will change to reflect the persons name who processed the update as seen below

Once the updates have been completed you will receive an email like the one pictured below from Anterra letting you know that the updates have been successfully processed.
