Resolving Pervasive.SQL 3006 error found in AnterraDataCenter Log files

The Pervasive.SQL.3006 error is a result of a timeout between the Pervasive Client and Server which creates a broken or interrupted connection. This can happen if AnterraDataCenter is on a different server from the Sage Pervasive database, or if the table being accessed in Sage is very large.

The solution is to enable reconnect for Pervasive and increase the timeout in the Pervasive Microkernel. Follow these steps on the client server to fix (or the Sage server if running AnterraDataCenter on it):
  • Click Start, Programs, Pervasive, PSQL and run Control Center & Documentation
  • On the right-hand side of the window select Configure MicroKernel Router
  • In the Properties for Microkernel Router select the Communication Protocols tab.
  • On the right-hand side, you should see an option for Enable Auto Reconnect, click to put a tick in this box.  You can also optionally increase the timeout to higher than the default 15 seconds.
  • Exit the control center, saving the changes if prompted, then restart the workstation
