Why isn’t my job showing in AnterraBI?

A common question that requires understanding of several inputs and AnterraBI parameters. 

  1. 1. Is the job status “In Progress” in your ERP? 

  1. a. 95% of the AnterraBI pivot grids and widgets only show jobs with Status = “In Progress”If the job Status is “Closed”,Unstarted” or anything other than “In Progress”, the job will not show on most AnterraBI grids 

  1. 2. Is one of the AnterraBI Global Parameters filtering out the Job? 

  1. a. Check the selection of Consolidation Group, Job, and Project Manager to confirm the job is included in the selected parametersAll grids’ data trim (filter) their contents on these global parameters. 

  2. b. Jobs are related to divisions, and therefore Consolidation GroupsConfirm that your job is in a division that is included in the Consolidation Group that you are trying to run in the parameter. 

  1. 3. Did you drill down through a Widget? 

  1. a. Check the global parameters on the drill down Grid which are passed from the Dashboard/Widget to supporting grid details.   

  1. b. Where you click on the widget mattersWhich point in the trend or different numbers on the Widget can apply additional filtersFor example, on the Construction Cash, clicking the negative Cash amount opens the Job Cash Flow Grid and only show jobs with negative cash flow.  A filter is passed to the Grid.  


  1. 4. Is the View on the Grid filtered to limit data? 

  1. a. If the grid is filtered, there is a yellow highlighted column containing the filter rule, and the [Clear Filter] button (upper right below global parameters) is highlighted yellow[Clear Filter] to expose all data based on the global parameters.   

  1. 5. What Grids include closed jobs? 

  1. a. No grid shows all the jobs closedHowever, there are grids that will include some closed jobs. 

  1. i. Work Backlog   

  1. 1. If a job’s Project Contract – JTD Work Billed > 0, the job shows on the Work Backlog grid, regardless of Job Status 

  1. a. There are separate widgets to just see Open Job Backlog 

  1. ii. Final Margin 

  1. 1. Users enter a date range, and jobs closed in that date range will showThis allows users to adjust the final Forecast Cost At Complete for trickle in costs. 

  1. a. Based on the Actual Completion Date in ERP 

  1. iii. WIP – YTD Activity 

  1. 1. This is both a filter on WIP Management entry and a GridWIP – YTD Activity will include “Closed” jobs when there is contract, cost, Forecast or billings activity on the job for the year.

  2. 6. Does the job have activity or amounts in Estimate, Cost, or Contract? 

  1. a. Jobs with no activity in these columns will be suppressed on most Grids 

  1. 7. Is the “Exclude In Anterra customization implemented for your company?   

  1. a. This is a customization offered at initial implementation for Sage 300 CRE customers to permanently exclude jobs from AnterraBI. 

  1. c. If implemented for your Organization, check your ERP job set up to confirm if this check box is marked.
