This release represents a major update to Financial Statement Builder, focused on performance improvements, enhanced Excel exports, and new productivity features. Users will experience significantly faster load times, increased stability, more flexible statement management, better data export options, and powerful automation through descending rows.
What Changed: Statement lists now load 95% faster, and editors open more quickly with reduced server queries.
Why It Matters: You'll spend less time waiting and more time working. Large statement lists that used to take several seconds to load now appear almost instantly.
What You Need to Know: No action needed – you'll simply notice things are faster!
What Changed: The statement list now includes search and sort functionality.
Why It Matters: Quickly find the exact statement you need without scrolling through long lists.
How to Use:
Excel (Data Only) – Replaces "Excel 2010+"
Excel (Presentation View) – Replaces "Excel 2007"
Why It Matters: The previous Excel export merged columns, making it difficult to sort and analyze data in Excel. The new "Data Only" option fixes this critical issue.
When to Use Each Option:
Excel (Data Only) – Use when you need to:
Analyze data in Excel (sort, filter, pivot)
Export clean, unmerged columns
Include drill-down links to source data
Work without the report header
Excel (Presentation View) – Use when you need to:
Share a formatted report that looks exactly like the on-screen version
Include the report header
Preserve all visual formatting
How to Use:
What Changed: Rows can now be configured to automatically descend to show underlying Anterra Hierarchy Account Level or the detailed GL accounts, with separate styling for the total row and descending levels.
Why It Matters: This is a major time-saver that addresses a common pain point. When you configure a row to descend, any new accounts that get mapped to that descended account will automatically appear in your reports – no manual updates required. As your chart of accounts evolves, your statements stay current without additional work.
What You Need to Know:
When a row is configured to descend, the Statement Editor shows two style/format lines: one for the total row and one representing the descending items
This allows you to style/format them differently – for example, you might indent the descending detail rows and apply borders to the total row
You can configure rows to descend to the next level or all the way to base accounts
How to Use:
What Changed: The date parameters for "End of last closed fiscal month" and "End of last fiscal year" now automatically populate based on the selected Consolidation Group's last closed date.
Why It Matters: No more manual date entry or confusion about which period you're reporting on. The system pulls the correct dates automatically based on your Consolidation Group's closing schedule.
What You Need to Know:
The report viewer includes an explanatory note showing where the date comes from
Dates update automatically when you change the Consolidation Group selection
This ensures consistency across reports using the same Consolidation Group
How to Use:
What Changed: When you create a new statement, you now land in the Statement Editor (the full view where you can see and style your statement) instead of the Row Editor.
Why It Matters: This creates a more intuitive workflow – you start where you'll finish, with a complete view of your statement.
What You Need to Know:
If you create a statement with a blank row set, look for the new "Edit Rows" button on the right side of the Statement Editor
Click "Edit Rows" to open the Row Editor and begin adding rows to your statement
You can still navigate between editors as before using the navigation menu
How to Use:
What Changed: New format painter tool in the Statement Editor allows you to copy styling/formatting from one row and apply it to others.
Why It Matters: Quickly apply consistent styling across multiple rows without manually configuring each one.
How to Use:
Selecting a source row
Activating the format painter
Applying formatting to target rows
Understanding what formatting elements are copied
Row Configuration Enhancements:
On-demand loading of row accounts with auto-expand
Improved styling support for descending rows
Statement List Improvements:
